GLENDALE, Ariz.
– The Grove City Marching Band from
Grove City High School in Grove City, OH., was named the
Grand Champion band of the 38th Annual
Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by Fort
McDowell Yavapai Nation.
15 bands from across the
nation competed in this year’s Parade, which is held
annually in Central Phoenix. The bands were placed into
one of two judging classifications; Class A signifies a
band from a school with an enrollment of 2,500 students
or more, and Class B signifies a band from a school with
an enrollment of 2,499 students or less. Each band was
evaluated by a panel of judges on its musical
performance, general effect, marching and auxiliary.
The 38th Annual
Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade band award winners are
as follows:

2. O'Fallon Township High School, O'Fallon, Illinois: score of 93.65

1. Dobyns-Bennett High School, Kingsport, Tennessee: score of 93.65
2. Homestead High School, Fort Wayne, Indiana: score of 93.15
3. MOC-Floyd Valley High School, Orange City, Iowa: score of 90.15
