GLENDALE, Ariz.  The Chino High School 77TH Cavalry Band and Color Guard from Chino, California, won the coveted Grand Master’s Trophy tonight at the 29h Annual Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Fiesta Bowl National Band Championship.

10 of the nation’s most elite high school marching bands from across the nation competed on Friday in an all-day music festival at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.  Each band performed its best 10-minute field presentation in front of judges that evaluated musical and visual performances, auxiliary, percussion, drum majors and general overall effect.

“The stunning performances given by the bands tonight really made the judges’ decision difficult,” Fiesta Bowl Board of Directors Dick Stemple said.  “There is so much dedication and talent among the students that the audience was left in awe.  The presentations were just breathtaking.”
