 Airport Check-In Procedures
Please see the enclosed information sheet directly behind this information for projected arrival times at your departure airport and key contacts for your respective airline.
All airports are presently at a security level 4 check in so expect to take some time at check in on your morning of departure. It is very important that you are on time and that you have everyone line up as quickly as possible.
Please make sure that all luggage has your color coded identification tags and that the name and address is completed properly. Colored Baggage Tags will be mailed to you by International Travel
In most cases airline tickets are now computer generated reservations and check in is dependent upon the airline being used.
At the time of check in each person must have in their possession a picture ID as the counter agent will be asking for this ID. For persons 16 years of age or older a valid driver's license can be used. For students traveling in the band group and under 16 years old a SCHOOL ID with picture will suffice.
Each airline is planning on having additional staff on duty to help with your group check ins as in most cases you have large blocks of seats on the flights.
The counter ticket agent will be asking each person four (4) specific questions specifically regarding their luggage. These questions will deal with anyone giving you items to pack in your luggage, if you have left your luggage unattended since your arrival at the airport.
Asking these questions (at the ticket counter) and processing each individual ticket is going to take at least a minute per person so make sure that when the counter agent asks each person to step up to the counter, it is done so quickly.
Remember to keep everyone quiet and remain patient as this will take time and some coordination on your part and the airlines part.
